Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Lip Waxing.

A typical lip waxing appointment takes about 10–15 minutes from consultation, prep and waxing to aftercare. If combined with other services, allow extra time. We’ll discuss concerns and perform a quick patch assessment before starting.

Mild redness or sensitivity is normal and typically fades within a few hours to a day. We use gentle techniques and calming lotions. Avoid sun and harsh products after waxing and contact us if irritation persists beyond 48 hours.

Most clients see hair regrowth between three and six weeks, depending on hair growth cycle and individual hormones. Regular waxing can weaken follicles and extend time between services. We’ll recommend scheduling based on your personal regrowth pattern.

Topical retinoids and strong exfoliants increase skin sensitivity and risk of lifting or damage. Discontinue such products at least 5–7 days before your appointment and perform a patch test if you recently used them. Consult your provider for medical advice.

Sensation varies by person; waxing is usually a quick, sharp sting during hair removal, while threading or tweezing can feel more prolonged. Many clients find waxing faster with longer-lasting results. We offer soothing aftercare to minimize discomfort.

Prepare by ensuring hair is about 1/4 inch long, clean and free of oils or heavy creams. Avoid sun exposure, exfoliate gently 48 hours before, and skip blood-thinning medications if possible. Arrive with no makeup on the lip area.
