Timing varies by braid size, hair length, and density; most clients need one to three hours. If your appointment exceeds scheduled time, we charge $20 per additional hour for labor. We’ll estimate during booking and adjust as needed for accurate timing.

You don’t need to wash beforehand; dry hair makes detangling easier and faster. If your scalp is very oily or irritated, a light pre-appointment cleanse is fine. We can also shampoo after removal to fully clean and restore moisture.

Yes: we use gentle removal, protective detangling, and conditioning to minimize breakage. However, already damaged or over-stretched hair may reveal shorter lengths. We'll assess hair condition and recommend trimming or treatments to maintain a healthy length.

Bring a wide-tooth comb, hair clips, a silk scarf or bonnet, and any hair care products you prefer. Hydration and light snacks help for longer appointments. Arrive with estimated removal time when booking so we can plan accordingly.

Pricing is based on service time, braid size, and hair density. Our base fee covers the scheduled take down; if the session runs over, we charge $20 per additional hour. We’ll provide an estimate at booking and adjust as needed.

This service is take down only. We do not include restyling or retwists during the appointment; you can book a separate styling session. If you'd like combined services, contact us for scheduling and pricing to accommodate both services.
